Liberty Hill conditionally approves Costco site plan

Liberty Hill City Council on April 23 approved a site plan for a Costco Wholesale close to the corner of US 183 and Seward Junction Loop.

The approval came with conditions, including the demand that the plans be approved by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and that the lighting plan be clarified, according to agenda documents.

The gist

The site plan lays out how the 39.44-acre Costco campus will be developed. There will be a 156,000 square foot retail store and a fueling area with 24 spots, according to the documents.

The plan also lays out driving patterns, water detention and landscaping.

Moving forward

The retail portion of the campus is expected to cost $62.6 million, and the fuel station is set to cost $12.4 million, according to filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

The fuel station and the retail space are expected to finish construction at the end of November, according to the filings.
