After almost five months of renovations, the Cedar Rock Railroad at Southwest Williamson County Regional Park reopened to visitors with a new track, locomotive and train.
The details
The railroad temporarily closed Dec. 16 to allow owner and operator Ken Knowles to design, deconstruct and reconstruct the railroad, Knowles said in an email to Community Impact.
The railroad’s hours are Tuesday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to a Williamson County Parks Facebook post. The new locomotive is called Juniper, according to a Cedar Rock Railroad Facebook post.
