United Airlines and the Houston Airport System broke ground in October on the United Technical Operations Center at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport. The $162 million project will add approximately 200,000 square feet of hangar capacity for maintaining widebody aircraft, a new warehouse distribution center and a technical services building.
