Humble ISD will host a dedication ceremony on Nov. 4 at 5 p.m. to celebrate the grand opening of the new playground at Deerwood Elementary.

According to an Oct. 29 news release, the "Under the Sea"-themed playground features a lighthouse tower with two slides, a clownfish seesaw and a coral reef swing set, among other nautical-themed amenities.
Some context
Per the release, Deerwood Elementary is the 13th HISD campus to unveil a new playground since the district's revitalization of campus playgrounds began. The project was designed and installed by Kompan Inc. Americas, and district officials noted elementary playgrounds are open to the public when school is not in session.
