Humble ISD to host auxiliary job fair seeking employees for several departments

Humble ISD officials are hosting a job fair for auxiliary positions in several departments from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. July 15 at Humble Middle School, located at 11207 Will Clayton Parkway, Humble.

The specifics

HISD officials will be actively recruiting for a variety of positions, including roles in the district’s child nutrition, police, transportation, custodial and maintenance departments, according to a July 13 news release.

Among the available roles for the district’s police department include:

• Senior police officer: starting at $70,199 annually
• Police officer: starting at $69,697 annually
• Security officer: starting at $15.47 per hour
• Dispatcher: starting at $18.87 per hour

Among the available roles for the district’s transportation department include:

• School bus driver: $21.60 per hour with an opportunity to earn up to an additional $1,600 through incentive pay
• Auxiliary school bus driver: $22.10 per hour
• Special education school bus driver: $22.35 per hour
• School bus attendant: $13 per hour

The district’s child nutrition department will be hiring for two positions, food specialist and itinerant child nutrition specialist, according to the release. Both positions begin at $14 per hour.

Among the available roles for the district’s maintenance department include:

• Journeyman plumber: $22.33 per hour
• HVAC technician: $22.33 per hour
• Locksmith: $19.59 per hour
• General maintenance on demand: $16.58 per hour
• Power washer: $15.21 per hour
• Mechanical, electrical, plumbing helper: $13.28 per hour

Additionally, the district will be hiring custodians with pay beginning at $13 per hour, per the release.

What’s next

Pre-registration for the event is not required, according to the release. HISD staff will be on-site to assist applicants with completing online applications, if needed.
