As New Caney ISD returns to school after fall break, about 600 students have switched from remote learning to on campus, according to Executive Director of Instruction Kristi Shofner.
At the NCISD board of trustees meeting Oct. 20, Shofner said close to 600 students returned to campus after the end of the first nine weeks, which ended Oct. 6. She said about 60 students switched to remote learning.
“We’re going to look at how our kids did, how our remote kids performed, how our on-campus kids performed,” Shofner said.
Parents chose their students' learning option before school began but are given the opportunity to switch at the end of every nine weeks. Shofner said she will provide a report on how students performed during the first nine weeks at a later meeting.
