Dave's Hot Chicken is slated to open in The Market at The Groves, according to a June 5 TDLR filing.

The business specializes in hot chicken tenders and sliders with seven heat levels ranging from "No Spice/Not Hot" to "Reaper," which requires a signed waiver, per the company website. Additional menu items include sides such as macaroni and cheese, kale slaw and fries. Beverages, including frozen slushes and milkshakes, are also available.

Construction on the 2,500-square-foot restaurant is expected to begin in late July and wrap up by late October, per the filing.
