The Texas Department of Transportation began reconstructing Loop 494 between Sorters McClellan Road and Northpark Plaza Drive in July. The project expands the road from two to four lanes and adds a raised turf median and center turn lanes at intersections and sidewalks. Contractors are currently creating drainage south of Kingwood Drive.
