The program offers four sessions in which campers ages 3-5 and 6-10 will learn about Spanish culture and language. The five-day camps focus on hands-on, play-based learning to teach children.
3. Summer Science Safari

The science-oriented summer camp offers local middle school students the chance to go on daily field trips that include rock climbing, scuba diving and visiting a zoo.

New Caney ISD offers a theater camp for children enrolled in third through seventh grades. Campers will get hands-on experience in theater production and perform in “Winnie the Pooh Kids.”
5. Creativity Shell

The five-day camps offer children 5 and older a chance to get creative in various ways, including cooking, crafting, building and creating. Class themes include interior design, quilting, outdoors and fashion.
6. Krafty Shack
Dates: May 25-Aug. 7
Krafty Shack offers daily camps on weekdays for children ages 5 and older. Campers of all abilities can choose from painting samples or come up with their own creations. Each day offers a new craft.

Jesse H. Jones Park hosts different four-day educational summer programs for three age groups. At the first, campers are taught about local ecology and wildlife.
9. YMCA Day Camp
Dates: May 26-Aug. 14
The Lake Houston Family YMCA hosts five-day camp sessions, where campers can participate in sports, hiking, swimming, crafts and educational activities.
Overnight
