Trinity Metro has released a new schedule for the Trinity Railway Express and a shuttle service that will run through the duration of the FIFA World Cup in North Texas.
Two of the changes went into effect June 8, while the Cowtown Visitor Shuttle Service will start June 15.
The plan is designed to support both soccer tournament visitors and Trinity Metro’s frequent customers throughout the tournament, according to a May 22 news release.
“This is one of the largest international events North Texas has hosted and Trinity Metro is prepared to move people safely and efficiently on the Trinity Metro system,” Rich Andreski, president and CEO of Trinity Metro, said in the release.

The first two changes are connected to Trinity Railway Express, or TRE, which is a train service jointly owned and operated by Trinity Metro and Dallas Area Rapid Transit.
TRE will offer Sunday services until July 19 to support increased travel through the area, the release states. On match days at AT&T Stadium, or Dallas Stadium, TRE service will begin and end at Fort Worth Central Station instead of the T&P Station.
Riders can use TEXRail to ride for free between T&P Station and Fort Worth Central Station. TEXRail is a 27-mile commuter rail line that runs from T&P Station to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, with stops in North Richland Hills and Grapevine.
Fans can travel TRE and connect between Fort Worth and the FIFA Fan Fest at Fair Park in Dallas through the DART light-rail connection, according to the release.
In addition, TRE Link will offer extended services until July 14. This 20-minute service operates on match dates and provides rides on Sundays throughout the tournament.
TRE Link will run between the CentrePort/DFW Airport Station and DFW Airport Terminal D, near gate D16.
What else?
Trinity Metro will run the Cowtown Visitor Shuttle from June 15-July 12 on days there is not a FIFA game in Arlington, according to the release.
The motorcoach buses were leased by Trinity Metro for $5.54 million, according to previous reporting.
There will be three stops for the shuttle service:
- Arlington Entertainment Shuttle
- Fort Worth Shopping Shuttle
- Fort Worth Zoo/Fort Worth Botanic Garden Shuttle
The coach service runs every 30 minutes each day there is no FIFA game. All-day passes are $10 for the zoo and garden shuttle and $20 for the Fort Worth shopping shuttle or Arlington entertainment shuttle.
The premium all-day pass includes transfers to Trinity Metro buses, TEXRail, TRE and the Arlington Entertainment Cowtown Shuttle.
The Arlington entertainment stop departs from the Fort Worth Stockyards, downtown Fort Worth or Fort Worth Central Station to Arlington, with access to Six Flags Over Texas, Texas Live!, Globe Life Park and the National Medal of Honor Museum. The full schedule is available here.
The Fort Worth Shopping shuttle will go from downtown Fort Worth and Fort Worth Central Station to Tanger Outlets Fort Worth and Buc-ee’s in the Alliance area of Fort Worth. The shopping schedule is here.
