Significant changes in traffic flow are coming soon for drivers that motor along Johnson Road near the Keller-Smithfield intersection.
The overview: According to a Keller city document, crews working on the Johnson Road project will first shift all of the north-south traffic on Keller-Smithfield Road onto the west side of the intersection May 24 to complete some underground work ahead of the incoming roundabout.
Traffic will be moved several times in the weeks ahead as construction continues, ensuring that Keller-Smithfield remains open for area residents and the first responders operating out of Fire Station 2, the document stated. Drivers are strongly encouraged to approach the intersection slowly and stay tuned to the four-way stops and other navigational signage.
