Embraer, a manufacturer of light jets, opened a new facility at Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport and will construct a second hangar with completion expected by 2027.

The construction is part of a contract with CommuteAir for its new facilities dedicated to commercial aviation, which will provide maintenance, repair and overhaul services for Embraer aircrafts operating in CommuteAir’s fleet. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held June 24 for the new commercial airline facility.
When work on the two-hangar Fort Worth facility is complete, Embraer's capacity to serve United States aviation customers is expected to increase by 53%, according to a news release.
