A $20 million road project near the Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport will start in November.

The configuration of a new four-lane divided roadway with shared-use paths on both sides of the road and street lighting is underway on Intermodal Parkway, according to the city of Fort Worth website.

Looking ahead

The road project will create two new lanes and reconstruct existing lanes to create an arterial road between Old Blue Mound Road and the entrance to the BNSF Railway yard entrance.

Single-lane traffic in each direction will be maintained throughout the project, which will start Nov. 5, according to a city official. The project is expected to be completed by March 2026, according to the city website.

The project is located in Fort Worth City Council District 10. The cost of the project is shared between development contribution, impact fees assessed on construction projects and Tarrant County, according to the city website.
