The city of Keller was one of two cities selected in the state of Texas for the "Grow With Google" initiative.
The initiative’s goal is to provide access and training to Google’s platforms and products in order to help workers develop skills, a career or business, according to a company news release.
The program will host a public training session at the Keller Public Library, located at 640 Johnson Road, on Jan. 24 from 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. During the program, Google staff will provide hands-on workshops to educate local residents and businesses about Google tools and resources, the release said.
“The Keller Public Library thrives on innovation and creativity, so we’re thrilled to be partnering with ‘Grow with Google’ in pursuit of our mission to champion lifelong learning,” Keller Public Library Director Jana Prock said. “The digital skill workshops we’ve selected will help grow our residents, whether they’re applying for jobs, trying to better manage their time or getting a new business venture off the ground.”
