The Golden Triangle branch of the Fort Worth Public Library, plus six other locations, will host free hands-only CPR and AED training taught by the Fort Worth Fire Department from Sept. 29 through Oct. 4.
The specifics
The city news release states the workshops will be led by fire department EMTs and paramedics. The course will introduce participants to hands-only CPR and explain the basics of how to use automated external defibrillators machines, commonly referred to as AEDs.
The workshop at the Golden Triangle Library branch will be held Oct. 4 at 5 p.m., according to the news release. The workshops are designed for teens and adults and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Instruction is focused on hands-only CPR and is not a certification course. All classes will be available in English and Spanish.
