While the number of residents continues to increase in Fort Worth and Roanoke, the city of Keller saw a slight decline in population for the first time in 10 years.
Population estimates released by the U.S. Census Bureau on May 21 indicate Keller’s population fell from 47,258 residents in July 2018 to 47,213 residents in July 2019.
During that same time, the population of Roanoke increased from 9,005 to 9,388 residents, and the population of Fort Worth increased from 893,216 to 909,585 residents, according to bureau estimates.
The city of Keller’s population increased roughly 18.2% from 2010-17 but has begun to level off in recent years. Census estimates indicate a total of 47,113 residents lived in Keller in July 2017.
