From gearing up for the start of the NHL season at Hawaiian Falls to a sewing introduction class for kids, take a look at these late July and August events happening in Keller, Roanoke and northeast Fort Worth. This list is not comprehensive.
July
Drop the Puck and Make a Splash
Head to Hawaiian Falls in Roanoke to gear up for the Dallas Stars’ upcoming 2026-27 season. Guests are invited to bring their hockey gear and enjoy hockey-themed events at the park. Stars mascot Victor E. Green will be on hand for a meet and greet.
August
Plant Bingo
Guests are invited to What's on Tap in Keller to play bingo and winners will take home a new, healthy plant. This event offers a “leafy twist” to the classic game, and guests will have the opportunity to win other plant-based prizes. All patrons are guaranteed to go home with a plant.
Family Nights at the Outdoor Pool
The Keller Pointe is open for extended hours for families to take a break from the summer heat and cool off at the outdoor pool. This event is open for members and nonmembers, and families can swim and utilize the outdoor amenities, which include two water slides, a lazy river, a splash pad, and a kids' play zone.
Sewing Machine Basics 101
This two-class camp is for kids ages 8 and up and will break down the basics of sewing, from threading and adjusting settings to sewing straight lines and simple stitches. All project supplies are provided, though guests are encouraged to bring their own sewing machine if they own one.
Dad Bod Car and Bike Wash
Hosted by the Guardians of the Children, Big Sandy Chapter, this event includes a car and bike wash to raise money for Guardians of the Children, a nonprofit dedicated to recognizing and reacting to child abuse and supporting families in crisis. Guests are invited to enjoy a beer and food at Three Wide Brewing Co. while the “dad bods” wash cars and bikes.
Scooby Family Event
Adults and children are invited to explore more than 3,000 and more than 200 collectable cars at this Scooby Doo-themed event. The Scooby Doo Mystery Machine will be on-site for guests to check out. Dogs are welcome in the museum.
