Hillwood is constructing a 1.2-million-square-foot Class A speculative industrial building in the Alliance Logistics District.
According to a news release, construction has started and is expected to be complete by July 2027. The building, called Alliance Westport 16, is in AllianceTexas, a 27,000-acre master-planned mixed-use development.
The details
Hillwood, a real estate and development company, had GSR Andrade Architects provide the design and civil engineering services were provided by Westwood for the facility, according to a news release. Hillwood Construction Services is the general contractor.
Alliance Westport 16 will feature:
- 40-foot clear height
- 620-foot building depth
- 60-foot loading bays
- 276 trailer parking spaces
What else?
Planned capabilities include autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicle operations and streamlined movement between intermodal and warehouse facilities via an enhanced heavy-haul transport corridor, according to a news release.
A private bridge connecting the site to Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway’s Alliance Intermodal Facility is currently under construction and expected to be completed in early 2027.
The project is receiving economic incentives such as the Triple Freeport Inventory Tax Exemption and Foreign Trade Zone status within Alliance FTZ No. 196, according to a news release.
The project will bring Hillwood’s total industrial space in AllianceTexas to 8.2 million square feet under construction or in design, according to a news release.
This building will be on Mobility Way and located in Denton County.
Hillwood commenced work on Alliance Westport 15 last year, according to previous reporting.
