The city of Keller is inviting residents to offer comments about the Keller Police Department as its national re-accreditation process begins soon.
According to the city’s March 4 newsletter, the police department is scheduled for an assessment by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Inc., as part of its accreditation process in late March.
CALEA’s national accreditation program requires agencies to comply with standards in four areas—policy and procedures, administration, operations and support services, the newsletter states.
As part of CALEA’s on-site assessment, agency employees and community members can give feedback to the assessment team, according to the newsletter. The in-person public information session will take place at 6 p.m. on March 21 at Keller Town Hall—1100 Bear Creek Parkway in Keller.
