Ice cream shop Duck Duck Scoop temporarily closed Jan. 18. The shop will reopen Feb. 21 with a grand opening celebration, according to the company’s website.

Owner Lori Cuadros explained the reasoning behind the temporary closure on her Facebook page.
“Most ice cream shops are able to save enough money from summer to carry them through winter,” Cuadros said. “Since we were not able to open until November, that’s not an option for us. We will use the time to do some light maintenance and market our ice cream truck.”
