Bluegrass Legacy Group to expand space in Keller

According to the presentation, the addition will feature three offices, a restroom, a covered porch and storage area that will be attached to the existing 900-square-foot building.

The total project cost for work on the front of the building is $173,000. The grant will cover $10,000 of the $38,900 planned for exterior work, according to documents presented by contractor Kingdom Construction.

That part of the work will include removing exterior material, installing premium siding, constructing a 7-foot-deep wraparound porch, installing new energy-efficient commercial windows and entry doors, installing decorative and security lighting fixtures, new exterior paint and sealant.

Landscaping, which was shown on the rendering of the project at completion during the council presentation, will be completed at a later date.

According to the Chapter 380 agreement, construction has to be completed by July 7, 2027, to be eligible for the grant.

“I've approved and denied many facade grant improvements,” Council member Chris Whatley said. “I appreciate that you have skin in the game and you're putting money in the investment.”

Gabhart founded Bluegrass Legacy Group in 2020 and it has been in Keller since 2021, according to the presentation at council.

Before starting the business, Gabhart worked as a financial advisor at Edward Jones and served as a consultant for 15 years in the finance, insurance and defense sectors, according to the business website.
