Bell Textron seeking 10-year property tax abatement on proposed $157M plant in North Fort Worth

According to its application for the state’s incentive program, Bell Textron is considering a site in the Alliance area "to locate and establish a new large-scale advanced manufacturing operation to produce component parts for aircraft."

The application states that besides the $157 million investment in real property, the company would invest another $272 million investment in advanced manufacturing equipment, which would bring the total investment for the project to $429 million.

While the company is considering several sites in three different states, it would purchase the property located at 15100 N. Beach St., according to the application. The building was previously used by Stanley Black & Decker, which announced its closing on March 20, 2023.

Besides applying for the 10-year property tax abatement, the application states the company is also applying for the following financial assistance:

• $2.7 million in Texas Enterprise Fund money from Texas
• $1 million in grants from Fort Worth

According to the application, the project would also be expected to create a minimum of 75 new jobs at an average wage of $69,784. The company is estimating that over a 10-year period, the multiphase project could create upwards of 411 jobs with an average wage of $85,000.

Should Bell Textron select this location and move forward with the project, the application states construction would take five years to complete.
