Autonomous Solutions, Inc., or ASI, will expand its footprint and advance autonomous technology testing in the Alliance area of Fort Worth.
ASI will have more than 100 employees based on the second and third floors of Hillwood Commons I, a Class A office building within the Alliance Town Center development. The business is expanding from 11,097 square feet to 25,806 square feet in the building, according to a news release.
The completion date of the expansion was not listed.
The details
ASI, headquartered in Mendon, Utah, develops technology that enables industrial vehicles and fleets to operate autonomously in industries such as civil construction, agriculture, logistics and landscaping. ASI tests its equipment at the Alliance Test Center, located north of SH 114.
The site allows ASI to develop and demonstrate its capabilities while allowing customers, partners and investors to observe the technology firsthand in a major metropolitan area, according to a news release.
“What sets AllianceTexas apart is the ability to grow our company in the same place where we test and demonstrate our technology,” said Mel Torrie, co-founder and CEO of ASI. “We can put autonomous systems through real-world scenarios, bring customers and partners in to see the technology at work and have the space to expand our team, giving us the flexibility we need as we continue to scale.”
Zooming out
ASI is not the only autonomous-focused company in AllianceTexas, a 27,000-acre master-planned development. According to previous reporting, TuSimple brought self-driving semitrucks to the area in 2022 and TORC opened its autonomous truck hub in 2025.
In November 2025, the Alliance Logistics District was created, a partnership among Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway, Hillwood, a real estate development company, and the city of Fort Worth.
It consists of three streets: Mobility Way, Distribution Drive and Intermodal Parkway. The streets are designed for use only by vehicles carrying cargo to make transportation through autonomous and semiautonomous shuttles faster and more cost-effective, according to previous reporting.
Quote of note
“ASI is exactly the kind of company we want to attract to AllianceTexas,” said Ian Kinne, vice president of logistics innovation and investments at Hillwood. “After decades of building AllianceTexas, we have a unique perspective on what companies need to grow and the ability to move quickly when they see an opportunity here. For companies like ASI, that means access to talent, customers and a great business environment, along with the flexibility to test and validate new technologies as they build and scale their business in North Texas.”
