Aroma Grill & Bar is expected to open by the end of April and will feature Indian and Nepali cuisine. Restaurant veterans Jyoti Kandel and Shree Ram, who were both born and raised in Nepal, are co-owners.
According to a city news release, the menu will include:
- Chicken tikka masala
- Palak paneer
- Samosas
- Momos
- Various curries
- Tandoori
The backstory
According to the news release, Kandel spent time working in upscale restaurants and luxury hotels in London and California before moving to Texas. After learning to cook alongside his mother, Ram honed his skills in popular Nepalese restaurants in New York City before making the move to the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
