Free student meals from school districts extended through end of June

The US Department of Agriculture will allow free meals to be available to all children through the remainder of the 2020-21 school year, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue announced Oct. 9. The USDA previously extended Child Nutrition waivers through December, but the new flexibility will allow school districts to continue providing free meals to all children through June 30, 2021.
