As the Greater Houston area begins to recover from May 16 storm damage, the city of Katy is providing residents with a way to get rid of excess limbs produced by the high winds.
What residents need to know
In an effort to eliminate excess storm debris, Texas Pride will collect fallen tree limbs from Katy residents during regular trash pickup days, which occur Monday through Friday, according to a public service announcement on the city’s website and social media.
City officials began picking up larger storm-related debris, such as tree stumps and fencing material items, on May 17, and the effort should conclude by Friday, Public Works Director Jason Rivera said in an email.
