Originally opened in 1996 and woman-owned, Texas Borders Bar & Grill has relocated its flagship restaurant from Westgreen Boulevard to west of Grand Parkway, near Katy Mills mall and the still-developing Katy Boardwalk District.

The cuisine at Texas Borders is Tex-Mex American, with a menu that includes fajitas, chicken wings, burgers and nachos. Daily specials offer discounted drinks such as sangria, frozen margaritas and mimosas. The restaurant also hosts local bands that play live music on the weekends.
