Katy and Fulshear are seeing a growth in housing options with several single-family housing developments, build-to-rent communities and multifamily apartment options underway or beginning soon.

Single-family homes
Katy Boardwalk Reserve
The Katy Boardwalk district, which is located near Katy Mills Mall, will see 186 single-family homes instead of brownstones, villas and patio homes following a Nov. 10 vote by Katy City Council.
The primary changes include no garages to face Kingsland Boulevard, new architectural standards and new fence standards.
Hines developmentThe 2,951-acre development by Hines is set to bring more than 7,000 homes to Texas Heritage Parkway. The community will feature homes by eight homebuilders and will also have a 5-acre recreation center, alongside 800 acres of green space.

Fulshear JunctionThe mixed-use development by Century Communities is set to bring 251 single-family homes, adjacent to the Polo Ranch community. The 126.9-acre development will also feature commercial, parks and recreational areas.
The developer agreement states only 100 homes can be built in the first 12 months, followed by 100 in the next 12 months and the remaining following.
Katy Court extensionKaty Court’s third phase will feature 67 single-family homes on 55-foot lots after numerous public speakers at an April Katy City Council meeting opposed the area’s original plan for 153 homes on smaller lots.
Built-to-rentRSK Real Estate Partners development
The 9.37-acre development will be home to 156 built-to-rent duplexes near The Market at Katy Park. The community will feature two- and three-bedroom units averaging 1,600 square feet.
The Landing at Katy PointeThe 17.2-acre built-to-rent development will feature 210 duplexes averaging 1,500 square feet with two- and three-bedroom options featuring attached garages.
MultifamilyHudson Crossing
The 298-unit apartment community developed by Rockefeller Group and Pelican Builders is located near Mary Jo Peckham Park and LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch.
The luxury complex will offer resort-style amenities, including a pool, fitness center and resident clubhouse.
Lenox Katy GroveThe 14.2-acre multifamily development will offer 360-units ranging from 702 to 1,256 square feet. The European farmhouse-styled development will also feature amenities including a pool, coworking lounge and pickleball court.
OHT Partners developmentThe 13-acre unnamed project will offer 396-units in one- and two-bedroom options ranging from 702 to 1,256 square feet. The site is near several offices and hospitals.
NewQuest developmentThe unnamed 18.5-acre retail and residential project will be constructed on one of the few remaining tracts along Morton Road.
The site will also feature a modern farmhouse-style residential complex with 334 units by Pelican Builders Inc.
