iSmash, an entertainment brand known for its rage rooms, is set to open its first Texas location in Katy with a grand opening May 23, Katy franchise owner Mitesh Patel said.
What they offer
Founded in 2018 in New York, the business offers a hands-on environment where guests can safely smash objects such as glassware, dishes and electronics with tools such as crowbars, baseball bats, golf clubs and sledgehammers in a controlled space, according to its website.
There are two options for where to smash objects, including a rage room or smash alley, where individuals can throw items down a dedicated alley.
Other offerings include:
- Splatter paint
- Axe throwing
Guests can also book private events, celebrations, corporate team-building outings and birthdays, Patel said.
Meet the owner
Patel, who is a seasoned entrepreneur in the restaurant industry, said Katy was the perfect location for opening his new venture after he and his wife settled down in the area where she grew up.
“We’re proud to open our doors and bring a completely new kind of entertainment concept to the Katy community,” Patel said. “I’m looking forward to welcoming guests and providing them with an experience that is not only unique and memorable, but also cathartic. I saw the demand for something energizing and exhilarating and knew iSmash would resonate with the adventurous residents in this city.”
