Katy-area’s Rick Rice Park celebrated its 10-year anniversary June 9. The 8.5-acre park is located immediately west of Westgreen Boulevard and south of I-10. Overseen by the Interstate Municipal Utility District, Rick Rice Park includes a half-mile hike and bike trail; the Veteran Memorial Plaza; the CanCare Overlook, in honor of those battling cancer; Francesca’s Garden; and the Laskey Baker Memorial Plaza.
