Montgomery County Commissioners Court got another look at where the county’s 2025 road bond program stands April 9 and also approved a Precinct 2 construction contract tied to that work.

According to the county’s April 2026 road bond financial report, the program has brought in about $130.8 million so far, including bond proceeds and interest income. Of that, roughly $115.89 million had been allocated, leaving about $14.99 million still available to assign. The report also shows the current cash balance at about $63.45 million.
A closer look at the report shows Precinct 2 had the largest allocation among the four precincts at about $42 million. As of April, about $6.57 million was listed under encumbrances, $33.56 million had been spent in actuals and about $1.87 million remained in that allocation.
Precinct 4 had the second-largest allocation at about $26.7 million; Precinct 1 had $23.9 million and Precinct 3 had $23.25 million, according to the county’s April 2026 road bond financial report.

Commissioners also approved a contract for the Woodtrace Boulevard construction project in Precinct 2. County bid documents recommend JFO Services LLC for the job at a bid amount of about $6.15 million, the lowest of the bids listed.
The project will build about 2.05 miles of roadway along Woodtrace Boulevard from Highland Drive to FM 2978, according to project documents. Plans also call for a proposed bridge structure over Dry Creek, about 37,000 square yards of concrete and roughly 41,500 square yards of lime-treated subgrade. Contract documents state the project is expected to be substantially completed within 365 calendar days.
The road bond report notes commissioners can receive funding allocations through a budget modification as projects continue moving forward.
