Candidate filing for the Nov. 8 general election closed Aug. 22, and 10 candidates are running for the four open Tomball ISD board of trustees positions, according to candidate filing information posted on the district's website.

Four positions—Positions 1, 2, 3 and 4—are up for election, with all but one of the incumbents running again. As of publication Aug. 23, candidate filings did not reflect that Trustee Kathy Handler, the board's president, had filed for re-election to Position 1.

The ballot order for these races will be drawn Aug. 26 at 5 p.m. at the Tomball ISD Administration Building, with early voting set for Oct. 24-Nov. 4 and Election Day taking place Nov. 8.

The last day to register to vote in the November election is Oct. 11.
