According to U.S. Census Bureau data released Dec. 8 for local populations, the level of education and median income of the Tomball and Magnolia areas has changed over the last five years.
In all the cities, ZIP codes and school districts of Tomball and Magnolia, the median household income increased between 2016-21, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2021 American Community Survey 5-Year Estimates released Dec. 8. The households within the boundaries of Tomball ISD have the highest median income at $109,976 while neighboring Magnolia ISD households have a median income of $95,792.
The city of Tomball has a higher median household income than the city of Magnolia—$65,981 compared to $63,661, respectively—whlie out of the five ZIP codes in the area, 77377 has the highest median household income of $108,958.
In terms of education, the percentage of people 25 and older with a bachelor’s degree increased in the city of Magnolia, the ZIP codes 77375, 77354, 77355 and 77362, and in both school districts.
Tomball ISD has the highest percentage of those 25 and older with a bachelor’s degree at 30.6% while the ZIP code 77377 follows behind at 28.5%.
