The inspiration
The center is being developed by founders Andrea and Aaron Ameen. Andrea Ameen said the couple’s personal experiences with loved ones facing dementia and Alzheimer’s inspired them to pursue senior care.
After years of real estate investing and work in human and community development, the Ameens decided to combine their backgrounds to create what they intend to be “one of the premier communities for seniors in the Houston area.”
The impact
Tomball’s rapid growth and limited supply of assisted-living and memory care options made the location a natural fit, Andrea Ameen said. Its proximity to the Medical District will also provide residents with convenient access to health care services.
Everwood Reserve will offer 24/7 assisted living and memory care, meals curated by a private chef, housekeeping, concierge services, daily community programming and partnerships with community organizations focused on holistic wellness. Residents will also receive medical support through in-home health providers, she said.
Andrea Ameen said the community will be designed to stay connected with the broader Tomball area, with planned features such as a community garden and playground to encourage interaction with families and neighbors.
