The to-go daiquiri business Polar Paradise had its soft opening on FM 1488 on Jan. 20 and is planning a to host a grand opening at the beginning of May, according to owner Derrik Raymer.

Raymer said he was inspired after he and his friends realized there were no to-go daiquiris in his area. Polar Paradise serves over 30 daiquiri flavors as well as jello shots and nonalcoholic slushies.

“We investigated distributors and logos, and it all fumbled into one big business,” Raymer said.

The FM 1488 location is Polar Paradise’s first. Raymer said he was considering options north of FM 1488 for a second location.
