Sundale Donuts, located at 4223 Research Forest Drive, Ste. 700, The Woodlands, will close permanently July 15, according to the owners, Boak and Joung Han.

Sundale donuts first opened in The Woodlands in the 1990s. The Han family has owned the location since 2003, according to the owners.

"The decision to close down this business was not an easy one, especially because we enjoyed the relationships with our customers over the years, but the circumstances were beyond our control," said a post on the Sundale Donuts Facebook page.

Sundale Donuts gave back to The Woodlands community throughout the years, including donating masks to Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center during the pandemic and frequently donating food to local homeless shelters.

The first Sundale Donuts opened in 1987 by another member in the family, according to the owners' son, Daniel Han.

Sundale Donuts serves doughnuts, croissants, muffins, bagels and kolaches.
