5 ZIP codes in The Woodlands area see home sale prices increase year over year despite coronavirus shutdown in 2020

Home sales in most of The Woodlands area market increased from 2019-20 compared to 2018-19, with only two ZIP codes showing a decrease in the overall number of homes sold. The average sales price also increased in all but two ZIP codes, and it increased by as much as about 50% in the 77385 ZIP code, which includes parts of Shenandoah and Oak Ridge North.

Number of homes sold

Most of south Montgomery County, which includes seven ZIP codes, saw increases in the number of homes sold in 2019-20 compared to the previous year, despite the shutdown that occurred in the spring amid the coronavirus.

Average days on the market

The average number of days homes were on the market in four The Woodlands area ZIP codes decreased in 2019-20 compared to 2018-19, but this number increased by more than 40% in 77385, which includes parts of Shenandoah and Oak Ridge North. That ZIP code also saw an increase of almost 50% in the average sales price.

Average home sales price

Although the number of homes sold increased in the ZIP codes 77386 and 77389, the average home sales price in those areas decreased in 2019-20 compared to the previous year.
