Shenandoah City Council is asking residents to help with its survey for its Parks & Recreation Master Plan.

What to know

The plan will provide guidance for both short- and long-term planning for new and improved parks, open space, and facilities, according to the survey.

The survey asks residents to provide feedback on the following:
  • When they visit each of the current five parks throughout the city
  • Features they would like to see added to the parks
  • Types of community events residents want to see happen
  • How the city should focus its efforts on parks and recreation
“I’ve had several residents over the years say, ‘We really need a dog park,’ and I've heard it so many times. I hope the people that feel [like] that come out and say it,” council member Jim Pollard said at the April 9 meeting. “Don’t assume that it’s going to get done.”
