July 4 marks America’s 250th birthday, and there are several events scheduled in The Woodlands from July 2-5 to celebrate the holiday. All events are subject to change, and this list is not comprehensive.
Here’s a look at what’s happening for families, music lovers and more.
Firecracker 5K run
Hosted at The Woodlands Waterway, the Firecracker 5K run takes participants through the course, with awards provided for overall male and female runners, as well as first, second and third place in both male and female age groups.
Starlight SwansRiva Row Boat House invites families to take a trip down The Woodlands Waterway as they pedal through the water using swan-shaped pedal boats and explore local outdoor sights.
Red, Hot & Blue FestivalThe Red, Hot & Blue Festival is centered around live music, food and family-friendly activities across multiple locations throughout the community. A firework display will close out the night for attendees. Paid and free parking options will be available at various locations with limited spots. Attendees are encouraged to plan ahead and review the full event details online prior to their arrival.
Fourth Of July ParadeThe 50th Annual South County Fourth of July Parade will feature floats, fire engines and marching bands all while weaving through The Woodlands area. The 1.3-mile procession is set to cross through Market Street and includes areas near Town Green Park.
Red, Hot & PoolAttendees can celebrate the Fourth of July with a splash at this recreational pool event featuring games, refreshments and swimming.
Outlaw Music FestivalThe Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion presents attendees with a day filled with music from Willie Nelson, Wilco, Sheryl Crow, Stephen Wilson Jr., Margo Price, Lukas Nelson and Lily Meola. There is a strict bag requirement for the show, according to the venue website.
