Run in the Muddy Trails 5K and cook-off
The Muddy Trails 5K will take place at Rob Fleming Park. The race is a sanctioned 5K event produced by The Woodlands Township, winding through the George Mitchell Nature Preserve. The event ends with a postrace party featuring live zydeco music and the Muddy Bowl Crawfish Cook-Off. 3 p.m. $35. Celebrate literacy and support a nonprofit

Take part in a marathon

Take part in the father-son challenge
Area fathers and sons can compete together in the annual father-son challenge at The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park. Challenges include kayaking, archery, puzzles and races.
