Several new restaurants and specialty dessert locations opened in March in The Woodlands. Here are a few of the new additions to visit this weekend in The Woodlands and Shenandoah.
  • Sub sandwich chain Jersey Mike’s opened off Hwy. 242 on March 22. The location offers a variety of sandwich options, including hot and cold subs, kids options, and even catering for large events. Jersey Mike’s Subs is located in the same complex as the new Freebirds and AT&T store in Harper’s Preserve at 9662 Hwy. 242, Ste. 900, Conroe.
  • Azzurro Italian Coastal Cuisine opened in The Woodlands on March 15 at 1950 Hughes Landing Blvd., Ste. 1900, in a space formerly occupied by Broken Barrel, according to a news release. The restaurant is owned by the Orioli Restaurant Group, which also created Via Emilia Italian Kitchen and Avanti Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar. 281-310-6662.
  • Gourmet cookie bakery Cookie Co. opened March 11 off of SH 242 in Harper’s Preserve. The location offers a weekly rotating menu of cookie flavors as well as its signature chocolate chip cookie flavor each week. The California-based company has expanded its stores to eight different states with the newest shop being its second Texas location.   • A Baskin Robbins store opened Feb. 12 at 3784 Rayford Road, Ste. 100, Spring. The location celebrated its grand opening March 25. The new location also has a drive-thru window. Baskin Robbins is an American multinational chain of ice cream and cake specialty shops owned by Inspire Brands. 281-323-4076.
  • Dolly Llama Waffle Master announced it will be having its grand opening in Shenandoah on April 1 at noon and will include free merchandise, raffles and entertainment. With locations in California, Florida, Las Vegas and Dallas, Dolly Llama offers a variety of waffle snacks, such as liege waffles, waffles with ice cream and shakes.
