The South Montgomery County Family YMCA at Creekside Park, 6464 Creekside Forest Drive, will no longer operate as a fitness facility as of May 15, according to YMCA officials. However, children’s camps will continue to be offered.
There are approximately 30 other YMCA facilities in the Greater Houston area, including the South Montgomery County Family YMCA at Branch Crossing, 8100 Ashlane Way, and the South Montgomery County Family YMCA at Shadowbend, 6145 Shadowbend Place.
As city-wide members, no action is needed on their part to transition to another YMCA, said Heather Saucier, director of media relations for the YMCA of Greater Houston.
Members will still be able to register for programs, including day camp, at the YMCA at Creekside. They may also register online at www.ymcahouston.org by clicking on “Register for Programs.”
“We remain confident that we will continue to meet the health and wellness needs of all of our members at our various centers,” Saucier said.
Members may contact the YMCA at 281-367-9622 with any questions.
