Row House officials said the fitness center closed due to recent business challenges and co-owner Tracy Cowley’s health concerns.

“One of the greatest joys of this adventure has been getting to know our members and witnessing the impact rowing has had on [their] fitness and wellness,” co-owners Wesley and Tracy Cowley said in a letter to their clients.

Row House operated at Hughes Landing for four years with a boutique fitness concept designed to create a rowing workout that gave people of different sizes and ability levels an efficient and effective workout.

“Being an entrepreneur is challenging and not for the faint of heart,” the Cowleys said in the client letter. “While some may view this closure as a failure, we choose to celebrate the accomplishments and moments of joy—weight loss achievements, lifelong friendships, the camaraderie in classes, and those who completed challenges they never thought possible.”
