Ego Cuisine & Music held a soft opening Feb. 9 and will have a grand opening March 1, offering fine dining and live music just north of The Woodlands.

Singer Gino Vannelli is performing Feb. 14 as one of the first live acts at the venue, and other upcoming music guests include The Beatles tribute band The Fab 5, co-owner Angie Flores said.

The details

The grand opening will feature a masquerade ball, and regular weekly features will include country and western music on Thursday nights, salsa classes, and movie nights in the coming months. Another future offering will be high tea on Sundays, Flores said.

The venue will also offer lunch every day. It is closed Mondays.

The restaurant menu includes soups, salads and sandwiches, such as The Ego Burger, featuring an 8-ounce Angus beef patty, and The Vineyard Harvest Burger, braised with red wine and berries, according to the menu. Lunch entrees also include shrimp fra diavolo, Steak a la Ego and Hen 'N' Shroom, featuring a mushroom sauce. Dinner entrees include filet and rib options for steak, as well as flounder, swordfish and quail, according to the menu.

The venue also includes a bar with a mixologist and a dance floor.
