Sugar Land Trail Phases 1 & 2
Project: The two connecting trails aim to make the city more walkable and bikeable by providing a path to cross under Hwy. 59 and beyond.
Update: Sugar Land City Council accepted a $15.54 million grant from the Federal Transit Administration at an Oct. 21 meeting.
- Timeline: January 2026-January 2027 (Phase 1); January 2027-January 2028 (Phase 2)
- Cost: $10.91 million (Phase 1); $7.74 million (Phase 2)
- Funding sources: FTA grant and city of Sugar Land
Project: The project includes the creation of a middle lane along Knights Court from Hwy. 6 to Thompson Ferry Road. The project will also add a left turn lane and mast arm at Hwy. 6.
Update: Missouri City City Council approved an interlocal with Fort Bend County at an Oct. 20 meeting.

- Cost: $1.5 million
- Funding source: Fort Bend County
East Hampton Circle reconstruction
Project: The project permanently closed East Hampton Circle and South Kathy Avenue with an automated gate and a cul-de-sac, respectively. The project also included off-site driveway realignment and fencing for an adjacent municipal utility district.
Update: The Missouri City project was completed this fall.
