New features, including additional pavilions, are coming to Missouri City’s Kitty Hollow Park.

The 190-acre park, located at 9555 Hwy. 6, is maintained by Fort Bend County and contains eight party pavilions, play areas—including softball and soccer fields—and a dog park, according to the county's website.

At a Sept. 9 meeting, Fort Bend County commissioners unanimously approved a $3.01 million construction contract with APEX Consulting Group to add features to Kitty Hollow Park, including:
  • 18 small pavilions
  • Two large pavilions
  • Two maintenance buildings totaling 8,000 square feet
  • A small equipment shed and wash rack
  • Site drainage and paving
  • Utilities extensions
The project will be funded by the county's 2020 and 2023 park bonds as well as funds from County Assistance District 4, according to agenda documents.


Looking ahead

The project is expected to be completed within a year of the notice to proceed, per agenda documents.
