Looking for somewhere new to eat in Sugar Land or Missouri City? Check out one of these restaurants that are now open or coming soon:

Morelia Gourmet Paletas recently leased space at 16155 City Walk, Sugar Land, and is expected to open a storefront in December. The business sells paletas, a Mexican frozen treat on a stick that can be dipped into a variety of sauces and toppings. The Sugar Land store will be the company's first Texas location. Morelia Gourmet Paletas has locations in Florida, North Carolina, the Dominican Republic and Mexico. The Sugar Land location does not yet have a phone number. www.paletasmorelia.com

Candy Shack Daiquiris held a soft opening for its Missouri City location Nov. 2. Located at 6850 Hwy. 6, Ste. 700, Missouri City, the business is owned by Adil Surani and Saalik Patel. Candy Shack Daiquiris serves 11 classic flavors and a variety of mixed creations alongside a food menu with chicken strips, wings, catfish, shrimp and fries. The Missouri City location features a drive-thru for daiquiri orders, and all food is made to order, Surani said. 832-781-4897. www.candyshackdaiquiris.com

The Nines Thai Cuisine had its grand opening Oct. 18 at 203 Century Square Blvd., Ste. 150, Sugar Land. The restaurant specializes in authentic Thai cuisine and has different menus for lunch and dinner, with the lunch menu featuring smaller portions. Some of The Nines' specials include egg rolls, spicy seafood soup, Thai barbecue, broccoli stir fry and green curry. 281-302-5497. www.theninesthai.com

Premier Daiquiris will open a new storefront in March 2022. Located at 9710 Hwy. 6, Missouri City, the restaurant serves Louisiana-style daiquiris in multiple sizes. The business has one other location in Houston and serves Louisiana boudin in addition to the drink menu. www.premierdaiquiris.com


Dulles Nutrition opened at 609 Dulles Ave., Ste. 800, Stafford, on Nov. 2. Elite Indo-Pak Restaurant will open a location at 11941 S. Hwy. 6, Sugar Land, in November. The traditional Indo-Pak restaurant is accepting job applications for various roles online. www.eliteindopak.com
