Franchisee Masroor Fatany, who is behind the restaurant’s Houston location, said the new location marks a strategic expansion into the Missouri City-Sugar Land corridor.

“We were able to find a location with a perfect dining room and kitchen setup near a major intersection, and we’re excited to open,” he said.

What they offer

Founded in College Station in 1994, Layne’s Chicken Fingers menu offers chicken fingers, fries, Texas toast, milkshakes and sauces, including spicy options.

About the owners

Fatany opened his first Layne’s location in the Greater Houston area in August at 132 E Airtex Drive., Houston, a representative confirmed the third location will open in Rosenberg at 28225 Southwest Freeway in December.

Fatamy said his team has spent more than a decade in the restaurant business. After navigating the challenges of COVID-19, they began searching for a concept with a strong brand story, menu credibility and a reliable drive-thru model—something customers came to prioritize during the pandemic.

“Layne’s checked every box,” he said.

About the grand opening

At the Dec. 6 grand opening at 11 a.m., Fatamy said the first 50 visitors will receive free Layne’s for the year.
