A new Popshelf location is on the horizon in Sugar Land, according to a permit found in the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation’s database.

The retail store, a concept by Dollar General that first debuted in Tennessee in 2020, will open in Sugar Land at 2428 Hwy. 6. The concept offers on-trend seasonal and home decor, health and beauty products, home cleaning supplies and party goods, according to the Popshelf website.

The construction project to remodel an existing 9,410-square-foot space at that location to make way for Popshelf will span Nov. 1-Dec. 31 and will cost $220,000.

The new location is part of a greater expansion effort by Popshelf, which announced in late 2021 it was looking to open 1,000 stores by the end of 2025. www.popshelf.com
