Pressed, ahe cold-pressed juice and plant-based treats brand, opened a new location in Sugar Land. The store opened at 15850 Southwest Freeway, Ste. 200, Sugar Land, on Jan. 22, bringing a wide range of products, including cold-pressed juices, functional shots, grab-and-go smoothies, protein-packed smoothie bowls and plant-based soft serve, according to a Feb. 7 announcement. Kumon, the educational network utilizing the Kumon Method to teach mathematics and reading, opened a new location in Missouri City’s Oyster Creek neighborhood. The location opened in early February at 4741 Hwy. 6 S., Missouri City, the Oyster Creek center confirmed with Community Impact Newspaper. Serving as either enrichment or remedial programming for students ages 3 through high school, Kumon creates individualized study plans based on the needs of the student, according to its website.

Located at 9018 Sienna Crossing Drive, Ste. 200, the store offers a variety of products for dogs, cats, fish, birds, and reptiles as well small pets. The store offers a self-service dog wash, grooming, live fish, live small pets, live crickets, a visiting pet care clinic and a pet bakery. Tobacconist shop Smoker’s Pleasure opened its second location in Richmond. Known for its full array of smoking products, including a variety of glasses as well as hookah, vapes, wrapping papers, juices, tobacco, disposables and shisha, among others, Smoker’s Pleasure is now open at 1125 Crabb River Road, Ste. 145, Richmond. PetSuites of America, the family of upscale boarding, day care, grooming and training facilities, has opened a new location. Called PetSuites Sugar Land, the new facility, 20430 Southwest Freeway, Richmond, had its soft opening Feb. 15, said Antoinette Rivera, the facility’s general manager. PetSuites is known for its animal boarding, including various options for “canine suites” and cat boarding options called “cat condos,” according to the company’s website. These boarding options include suite types such as the Canine Luxury Suite, featuring raised beds, a personal TV, three daily potty walks, room service and daily housekeeping. A new standalone state-of-the-art clinic will open in Stafford in the fall. Juliette Nessmith, vice president of the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce, partnered with Kelsey-Seybold Clinic executives to break ground for the new facility. The Kelsey-Seybold clinic in Stafford will be a 33,000-square-foot clinic with space for up to 15 providers and the potential for expansion to 27 providers in the future. PetBar, the upscale pet grooming spa and boutique that offers an open concept where clients can see their pets at all times, is coming soon with a new location in Sugar Land. Once open, the boutique will offer professional grooming, full-service washing, self-service washing and monthly memberships for full-service washes with no contracts, according to co-owner Jennifer Lacombe. It will also have a boutique area featuring all-natural, organic food and treats. PetBar is a franchise that started in Dallas in 2015 and now has 25 locations across Texas.
